This is just my opinion.
We are a nation of gripers, spoiled rotten, over-indulged hypocrites.
We want small government, but when a catastrophe happens we want it fixed by our government NOW.
BP is a large corporation and we hope to God that they know what to do to clean up their spill, because our want for a small government negates the expectation that it clean up after big business.
Let’s put blame where blame is due. That would be me and you.
Yep! We have a car for everyone over the age of 16. We drive thousands of miles every year taking our kids to every event possible. We have the dream life, or do we?
We can’t afford wind turbines, solar panels or wave machines, because they are too costly. But we can afford to drill offshore.
No, we can’t. We can’t afford the cleanup, the loss of sea life and the loss of jobs.
In Spain, most little villages have five wind turbines on a hill nearby to provide electricity. These are very small villages, of less than 500 people. They sell the excess electricity back to the grid. Don’t tell me we can’t afford to do this.
Let’s take responsibility for ourselves and quit blaming government.
