During a two-game stretch late in September, Allen Community College women’s soccer team was outscored 5-0.
The Lady Red Devils bounced back, however, and appeared to have broken out of their offensive slump with a dominating 7-0 victory over Maple Woods last week.
But Allen fell right back into its offensive woes Sunday when it lost 4-0 to Butler Community College at home.
Coach Jeremy McGinnis’ squad dropped to 6-6 overall and 2-3 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference after the shutout loss.
Sunday marked the fifth time the Lady Red Devils were held without a goal in a match and it was the third time in four games.
Allen is now in seventh place in its league with six games to go, including five conference matchups.
Butler, which is 7-0 within the conference, is in first.
The Lady Red Devils play next on Wednesday at 2 p.m. against Johnson at home.
