Red Devil baseball made its 2016 home debut on Wednesday and did so in style.
Allen outscored Oklahoma Wesleyan junior varsity 35-2 over the course of Wednesday’s doubleheader and cruised to a pair of victories.
Game one was a 24-1 Red Devil win and they were able to build on that and notch an 11-1 win in the second matchup.
Brett Nice threw in the opener for Allen. He pitched all four innings and was able to do so without allowing an earned run.
Oklahoma Wesleyan got its leadoff man on in the first inning via an error and he came around to score and put Allen behind 1-0.
The Allen offense got going in the second inning with four runs and continued to roll in the third when they added five more.
The offense peaked in the fourth with 15 runs. The game’s final score was 24-1.
Derrick Weir, Ben Aslett and Dylan Warner each hit home runs in game one blow out.
The game two victory was sparked by the bat of Torey Jordan Jr., who went 3-for-3 with a double.
Gunar Drinnen had five RBIs, and he went 2-for-3 with a home run and double.
Allen returns to the diamond on the Thursday, 25th at Butler Community College.
