Four goals in quick succession left the Allen Community College women’s soccer team facing a massive deficit before the end of the first half of Wednesday’s contest against the Kansas City Kansas Blue Devils. The Red Devils never could fight back, losing the game 5-0.
After a hot start to their 2025 campaign, the Allen Community College Red Devils (4-3-1, 0-2-1) continue pursuing their first Jayhawk Conference victory following Wednesday’s loss.
The Blue Devils put Wednesday’s contest away early with a goal by sophomore forward Ivori Jones five minutes into the contest, followed by a pair of unassisted goals by sophomore midfielder Adrianna Lara separated by 2 minutes at the midway point of the first half. Green then found the net on an unassisted goal with 12 minutes left in the first half. The Red Devils’ defense stiffened from there, but not before KCKCC took its lead to 5-0 at the 81-minute mark on a goal by freshman forward Dani Willeford.
The Red Devils have the next week to think about the loss. They host Pratt next Wednesday, who comes into the contest ranked third in the Jayhawk Conference with a 3-4-1 overall record and 1-1-1 against conference foes. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
