Area teams beat the storms Thursday

Area baseball and softball teams got in a few games before Thursday's storm and there was no shortage of excitement as Sigg Motors swept Chanute while other area squads went head-to-head for another round of Recreation Department League action.

Area teams managed to get in a few games Thursday before brief thunderstorms called off play. Iola Little League Teams swept Chanute. In Junior Ponytail play,  Dairy Queen and Nelson Quarries finished in a  tie while Sigg Motors downed two competitors in a three-team doubleheader.
