During a week where Emporia State clinched the MIAA Championship, shortstop and former Mustang star Levi Ashmore was named the conference’s Player of the Week.
Ashmore batted .700 this week against Washburn and Northwest Missouri State. He had one stretch that included 10-straight plate appearances where he reached base.
The biggest hit of the week was a game-winning two-RBI triple in the tenth inning against Washburn.
