Iola fifth-sixth grade running back Gage Scheibmeir runs during Tuesday’s league championship game at Riverside Park. The previously unbeaten Mustangs lost to the Fort Scott Tigers 13-12. The Mustangs had a chance to tie it late after Carter Hutton found Eli Adams deep to get Iola to the Fort Scott one-yard line. After punching it in, the Mustangs were stopped on the one-point conversion with just over a minute left.
