Crest track athletes compete in meets

Crest High’s track teams have been busy. The Lancer athletes competed in two meets the week of April 12 and two meets the week of April 26.
When results don’t arrive at the Register the day after an event, it is hard to find spots to put them in. So now we have catch-up time for the Lancers and Lady Lancers.
They are hosting the annual Crest High Invitational this afternoon at Iola’s Riverside Park. Field events begin at 3:30 with preliminary running events at 4 o’clock and finals starting at 4:45.
On April 27, the Crest teams were at a meet hosted by Burlington High School. Here are the results:

The Lancers and Lady Lancers competed in the Uniontown Invitational on April 26.
Dakota Ramsey used two personal-best performances to be a double gold medal winner. He won the javelin with a throw of 169’3” and the discus with a toss of 133’101⁄2”.
Kurston Gilliland had a personal-best throw of 32’113⁄4” to win the shot put. Ashley Catt won the 3200-meter run in 14:57.37.
