The Tri-Valley League released its all-league honors for volleyball and football and 11 Humboldt athletes either made the list or were honorable mentions.
The Lady Cub volleyball team landed three players on the list. Senior Sydney Houk and junior Aricah McCall were named All-League and junior Kaylie Johnson was an honorable mention pick.
“All of these ladies are well deserving of this honor and I could not be more proud of each of them,” head coach Terry Meadows said.
Humboldt finished its season by falling to Perry-Lecompton in the sub-state semi-finals in three sets. The Lady Cubs were 20-14.
Meanwhile, eight different Cub football players earned postseason honors including two players who earned both offensive and defensive honors.
Defensive linemen David Watts and Kyler Allen, linebacker Dagen Goodner, offensive lineman Noah Johnson, running back Jacob Barker and defensive back Conor Haviland were named All-League while Tucker Hurst earned honorable mention honors as an offensive and defensive lineman, Johnson earned honorable mention honors as a defensive lineman and quarterback Heston Murrow was named an All-League honorable mention quarterback.
The Cubs finished their year at 7-3 after losing in bi-districts at Wellsville.
