YATES CENTER — The Humboldt High volleyball team defeated Yates Center and Sedan on Monday night.
The Cubs beat the Wildcats in two sets (25-13, 25-22) before beating the Blue Devils in two sets (25-23, 25-19).
Makaylah McCall led the team with 11 combined kills on the day.
Rylan Wilhite helped McCall offensively by recording 12 assists in each game, which was the most on the squad.
“We have been struggling with getting things going offensively,” coach Cara Thomas said. “We have two league games tonight that will be tough. This team has so much potential, and I’m ready for us to play to our level again.”
