OSWEGO — Familiar names from Marmaton Valley and Crest high schools picked up some heavy hardware Thursday at the Three Rivers League Track Meet.
Marmaton Valley’s Austin Deer was a two-time winner, besting the field in both the boys 100- and 200-meter dashes. Schoolmate Mackenzie Tynon took home first place in the girls high jump.
Crest High’s Evan Godderz, meanwhile, was tops in the boys javelin.
Brady Newman was a two-time silver medalist for the Wildcats, in the discus and high jump, respectively. He also placed third in the triple jump.
Marmaton Valley’s boys also took second in the 4×100-meter relay, as did Preston Cornet in the shot put.
ON THE girls’ side, Crest’s Laurel Godderz finished second in the discus, while Camryn Strickler finished second in the 300-meter hurdles. 4×100-meter relay team took home second.
Tynon added a fourth-place finish in the discus. Savanna Pucket took bronze in the girls’ 100-meter dash.
