HUMBOLDT — Two of the four stock car classes at Humboldt Speedway completed heat races and feature races Friday night.
But a thunderstorm halted action. Feature races in the factory and modified divisions never got going.
Beating out not just the storm by the field in the pure stock division was Stetson Deets. It was Deets’ first feature race win at the Speedway.
Toby Eble and Jeremy Willard pushed Deets the entire race. They settled for second and third place, respectively. Michael Aiello ran fourth with William Joyce taking fifth.
Tim VanGotten made it two victories in as many weeks in the B-Mod division. VanGotten ran out front with the rest of the field chasing him.
Garen Westcoat cros-sed in second place followed by Ron Bolin Jr., Levi McGowen and Dalton Kirk.
The storm rolled in with lightning closing the door on the night’s action.
Factory stock drivers will run their feature race this Friday night in addition to the regular program. It’s Fan Appreciation Night at Humboldt Speedway with all seats going for $5.
The modified feature will be made up April 22. Some of the modified drivers are gone to a USMTS race this week.
