After defeating Friends University Junior Varsity Falcons by a double-digits Friday, the Allen Red Devils followed up with a 107-55 drubbing of Kansas Christian College Junior Varsity Falcons.

Following this weekend’s action, the Red Devils have a 5-2 record and are undefeated at home. The Red Devils next host Northern Oklahoma College Tuesday, then North Central Missouri College Wednesday.

“I feel very good with how we started the season,” Allen coach Patrick Nee said. “I knew we had some really good teams coming to challenge us over the weekend.”

Against Friends, the Red Devils had a comfortable lead for a majority of Friday’s contest. Freshman guard Nyjah Noyes came off the bench for a team-leading 26 points and was second in rebounds with nine. Freshman guard Clyde Davis Jr. was second in scoring with 18 points, then sophomore guard Jayson Demcher with 17.

Although Davis was second in scoring on Friday, he’s in the spotlight, Nee said.

“Clyde is going to average over 20 points a game for us,” Nee said. “He won a state title in Oklahoma. He is a special player and should be playing D-I next season.”

Davis also had a team-leading four steals and was second to freshman forward Logan Shockley in rebounds with seven to Shockley’s 10.

In Saturday’s contest against Kansas Christian College, Davis was second in scoring with 17 points.

While Friday’s contest against Friends was a relatively close affair, Saturday’s game was an outright blowout. The Red Devils built up a 65-43 lead by halftime. Six Allen players reached double digits in scoring with Noyes leading the pack with 19 points. Freshman guards Moses Stephenson and Jaden Goudeau each scored 16 points.

Two players registered double-doubles with Noyes bringing down a team-leading 12 rebounds to complement his 19 points. Shockley also had a double-double with 10 rebounds and 13 points. Davis tied Stephenson for the team lead in steals with three each.

Sophomore guard Jayson Demcher had a team-leading five assists, followed by Goudeau and Chraibi with four each.

Coach Nee is girding for this week’s games.

“We play Northern Oklahoma Tonkawa Tuesday and that’s where Coach Tyre Pinder and I came from,” Nee said. “That will be an emotional game.

“Then Wednesday we play North Central, who has been a D-II powerhouse for a while so we’re really excited about the challenge they bring.”

Tip off for Tuesday’s game is at 7 p.m. Wednesday’s game starts at 8 p.m.
