VARSITY MAKE-UP
Iola’s top varsity doubles team of Macayla Bycroft and Erin Klubek struggled in their match against the doubles team from Pittsburg on Monday.
The pair went to Independence to make up a match that had been rained out. They couldn’t get anything working and fell 8-0.
“We just didn’t play our best,” Fillies’ coach Jenn Bycroft said. “We couldn’t get any momentum going. Pittsburg is a tough team and really knew where to place the ball.”
