PARSONS — Iola High’s junior varsity tennis players competed in a meet Monday hosted by Parsons High School.
In No. 1 singles, Emmalee Seabolt lost to Halei Matthews of Independence 6-0 and to Zoe McCollam of Independence 6-2. She lost 6-1 to a Labette County opponent.
IHS tennis coach Jennifer Bycroft said the Labette County coach did not write his players’ names down. Also McCollam played in place of a Coffeyville player because Coffeyville didn’t have enough players to fill all the spots.
