An annual free trapshoot for the young, 16 and younger, is Saturday at Lone Tree Gun Club, near Elsmore.
Boys and girls are encouraged to participate but parent supervision is required. The event goes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
An open trapshoot begins at 1:05 p.m.
There are two shooting age groups — 13 to 16 and 12 and under. Pre-entry is recommended but not required.
Clay pigeons and shells will be provided to youth shooters. Highest shooter in each age group wins a shotgun.
Shooters breaking 11 or more clay pigeons may select a prize donated by sponsors. Shooters breaking 10 or less clay pigeons receive a Lone Tree Gun Club gift certificate to shoot 50 free clay pigeons.
There will be a drawing for a Model 391 Beretta shotgun during the event.
Contact Richard Diehl at 620-365-9808 or call the Lone Tree Gun Club at 620-754-3548.
