Freshman volleyball team goes 2-2

PRAIRIE VIEW — Iola competed at a freshman volleyball tournament at Prairie View this weekend, going 2-2.
Iola dropped both sets against Central Heights, 25-20 and 25-17. In the second match, Iola forced a third set with Paola. After losing the first set 25-18, Iola came back to win the next set 26-24. The Fillies lost the third set, 15-6.
Iola beat Osawatomie, 25-20 and 25-17, for its first win of the day. The Fillies then beat host Prairie View, 25-12 and 25-17.
Sophie Whitney, Karly McGuffin and Colbi Riley were leading servers. Madi Carlin led the team in assists. Katie Bauer and Riley led the Fillies in kills.
The freshmen head to Wellsville Tuesday.
