The Humboldt Middle School girls found success in the final game of the semester, beating Fredonia in both games at home on Monday.
The A-Team started out with a 22-13 win.
Madi White had eight points, Brooklyn Ellis had five points and Kirstyn Murrow had four points. Nautianna Goforth had five steals and eight rebounds, Kirsten Kobold had four steals and Murrow had seven rebounds.
“The girls were very aggressive on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball tonight,” head coach Jason Weilert said. “We were able to get a lot of good shots on offense and now need to work on getting more to fall.”
The B-Team won 17-12.
Emily Ross had six points, Karley Wools had five and Chloe Daniel, Laken Hunter and Raegan Trester each had two points.
“I was very pleased with how we played tonight,” Weilert said. “The ladies continue to improve on the court. We are seeing them do more of the little things right each game we play.”
Both the girls and the boys will hit the road to take on Neodesha on Jan. 4.
