HUMBOLDT — Humboldt Middle School’s volleyball teams swept past visiting Fredonia in all four matches between the two schools Thursday.
Humboldt’s A-team won in two sets, 25-15, 25-18, while the B-team took three sets to win, 25-17, 13-25, 16-14.
Humboldt’s C-team played Fredonia twice, winning both, 25-17, 25-20 and 25-23, 19-25, 15-12.
In the A-team win, Kassie Angleton led the way with nine kills and an ace. Camrie Farran had an ace, while Sydney Houk had two kills, eight digs and four aces. Rylan Wilhite had 11 aces, two kills and two digs. Kailey Wolken chipped in with a kill, two digs and three aces. Aricah McCall had two kills and three digs. Morgan Mauk had three digs, Maggie Johnson had two, and Chassis Hoepker one.
Kaiti Carpenter and Katie Malone each had two kills in the B-team’s victory. Sadie Houk had a kill as well to go with three digs. Sydney Barker racked up 10 aces.
