Humboldt High’s Lady Cubs, Yates Center High’s Wildcat girls and the Marmaton Valley High Wildcat girls lost in their respective Kansas Class 2A Substate Tournaments Tuesday.
Humboldt lost 68-11 to Oxford and Yates Center dropped a 40-37 decision to host Oswego. Both teams were on the road playing opening-round games in the Class 2A substate hosted by Sedan.
Marmaton Valley was at Lyndon and lost 42-25 in its opening-round game in the Class 2A substate hosted by Jayhawk-Linn.
That ends the season for all three area teams. The Register received no reports on the games by today’s press time.
