WELLSVILLE — Iola High’s JV and freshman girls teams played down-to-the-wire games Friday night on the road against Wellsville High.
The JV Fillies beat the Lady Eagles, 37-35. Colbi Riley was Iola’s leading scorer with 7 points. Riley Murry and Chloe Gardner each scored 5 points. Jadyn Sigg, Piper Moore and Della Lohman each scored 4 points. Olivia Taylor and Katie Bauer scored 3 points. Scout Rush scored 2 points.
The freshman Fillies  lost, 33-31. Moore and Madisyn Holloway each scored 12 points. Kassy Shelby scored 6 points. Kendra Sprague scored 1 point.
As for the boys teams, the JV Mustangs lost to the Eagles, 60-45.
Evan Sigg was Iola’s leading scorer with 9 points. Zach Cokely and Isaac Vink each scored 8 points. Braden Plumlee scored 7 points. Cale Barnhart scored 5 points. Joey Zimmerman scored 3 points. Bryce Andres and Gage Cleaver each scored 2 points. Rhett Allen scored 1 point.
The freshman Mustangs won, 67-42. Kane Rogers scored 18 points. Derek Bycroft scored 11 points. Cole Regehr scored 10 points. Dylan Doolittle scored 8 points. Blake Ashmore and Tayton Driskel each scored 7 points. Brady Folk scored 6 points.
