Addie Haar served six aces and Kyra Moore had five aces. Emma Piazza served up four aces while Jo Lohman had three, Katie Shields had two and Torrie Lewis had one ace.
At the net for Iola, Lohman downed two kills. Moore, Haar, Piazza and Emery Driskel each had one kill. Piazza had three assists and Moore had two set assists.
Independence beat Iola A-team 25-17, 25-22. Piazza had three aces serves and Moore had one. Piazza, Lewis and Kim Kaufman each had a kill at the net.
“It is disappointing losing but I’m proud of how the girls worked together and stayed positive,” Carlin said.
