Iola Middle School’s Ponies hosted its golf tournament Wednesday at Cedarbrook Golf Course. But a rain storm moved in and washed out play.

It is tentatively rescheduled for May 3.

The IMS golf team opened its season Monday at Pittsburg. The Ponies won the nine-hole tournament with a 150. Independence was second at 167.

Iola’s Kaden Macha took top individual honors with 32 with Shane Walden in third at 35. Weston Hines placed eighth at 41 and Drake Dieker was 10th at 42.

Adam Peterson shot a 46 and Isaiah Grover carded a 51.

Iola goes to Coffeyville on Monday.
