INDEPENDENCE — Iola Middle School’s Drake Sell carded a 61 Monday, the best score of the day for Iola Middle School’s golf team.
The Ponies tied with Coffeyville for eighth out of 10 teams, with both teams shooting 244.
Others playing for Iola were Sam Terhune, 68, Addison Prather, 69, Aaron Terhune, 70, and Emilee Luedke, 71.
The first place individual was Parsons’ Drew Fuentez, who shot a 43. Royster Middle School of Chanute claimed first in the team division with a 194.
