The Iola Middle School Mustangs nearly swept the Prairie View Mustangs while on the road Thursday.
The IMS A-TEAM won 35-22, the B-Team won 41-19 while the seventh-grade IMS A-Team won 35-25 and the B-Team fell 31-9.
In A-Team action, Cade Curry had 17 points, Milo Franklin scored 8 points and Jaxon Mueller 6 points. With the win, the A-Team improved to 3-1.
In B-Team action, Chance Conley had a team-leading 9 points, followed by Corbin Coffield and Kaiden Jones with 8 points each. With the win, the B-Team improved to 3-0.
IN SEVENTH-GRADE action, Landon Desmarteau accounted for more than
half of the Mustangs’ total points with 19, followed by Greyson Skahan with 8 points. The complete seventh-grade B-Team statistics were not available at press time.
