CHANUTE — Iola Middle School’s seventh-grade girls took third at Chanute’s Royster Middle School Invitational track meet Tuesday.
The Pony girls scored 64 points. Royster won it with 143.5 points and Independence was second with 76 points.
Iola’s eighth-grade and seventh-grade boys each took fourth in their respective competitions.
The eighth-grade boys scored 54 points as Parsons edged Independence for the team title, 96 points to 95. In the seventh-grade boys’ division, Iola tied with Parsons with 47 points for fourth. Pittsburg took the title with 99 points.
Iola eighth-grade girls scored 12 points for seventh. Royster won the division with 165 points.
The Iola teams go to Girard on Thursday.
