GARNETT — Iola High’s junior varsity volleyball team dropped matches to Louisburg and host Anderson County High Thursday night. Louisburg beat Iola 25-11, 25-13. Katie Thompson had two kills for the Fillies. Emma Sigg and Essence Owens each had a kill and two service aces. Tori Snavely and Alyssa Zimmerman each had two set assists. Snavely had a service ace and Hannah Barclay had a kill. Celeste Ambrose and Keli Lee each had two digs. Anderson County defeated Iola 25-14, 25-21. Thompson had four digs and a kill and Barclay had three kills. Snavely had four assists and a serving ace and Zimmerman had two assists and one kill. Paige Miller had a kill and Owens had a service ace. Lee had four digs. “The passing was not there, which made it difficult to set the ball up and attack,” said Casey Greenwood, IHS assistant coach. “Their focus was off and missed serves also hurt.”
