Notes: Humboldt plated four runs in the second and third innings and two in the fourth for its 10 runs in the opening game. Rylan Wilhite did not allow a Sigg batter to pass second base. … The nightcap was an old-fashioned pitchers duel between Sydney Houk of Humboldt and Sierra Snavely for Sigg. Humboldt forged across a run in the top of the fifth before Sigg tied it in the bottom of the sixth. Sigg’s Kaitlyn Larson made it as far as third base in the bottom half of the inning, before Houk struck out Alexis Heslop to the end the game.
