Iola tennis hosted a dual with Columbus on Thursday and the Mustangs came out looking strong.
Iola won all but one match, with most by a substantial margin.
Jon Miller earned his first win of the day, defeating Preston Mullere, 8-0.
Bret Plumlee took down Tucker Peine, 8-2, while Eason Cheung defeated Jake Jarrett, 8-5, and Adryan Nading thumped Asa Hulvey 8-3.
Miller and Plumlee took on Peine and Mullere in doubles action and won, 8-1.
Cheung and Nading played the second doubles match and lost, 8-5.
Iolas junior varsity will compete at Independence on Monday before the varsity heads to regionals Friday and next Saturday.
