Iola High School junior Dally Curry received a postseason honor after Pioneer League volleyball officials recognized her with a selection to the All-Pioneer League second team.
Curry was by far the Mustangs’ biggest arm with 238 kills over 35 contests. As an upperclassman on a young team, devoid of senior leadership, Curry played multiple roles along with her duties as outside hitter.
Along with being Iola’s top gun on offense, she also provided reliability on the back line with 334digs, which was seven more than freshman libero Haidyn Desmarteau’s 319 digs. Another statistical anomaly for Curry was having 16 blocks, fifth-best for Iola, despite primarily playing the outside or back line. She was also third in aces with 24.
