Junior High Wildcats dominate

MORAN — The Marmaton Valley Junior High girls swept through Southeast Cherokee and Crest last week winning all six of their games.

The Wildcats played Southeast-Cherokee on Thursday.

The A-Team started things off with a 33-14 win.

Janae Granere led the way with 21 points followed by Brynn Newman who had six, Madison Lawson who had four and Raveyn Kegler who had two.

The B-Team improved on that dominance with a 32-2 win.

Emma Schmidt had 10, Tayven Sutton and Roslyn Houk had four, Brooklynn Adams and Katrina Woods had three and Kaitlynn Drake, Gracie Yoho and Katie Bigelow each had two.

The C-Team won 8-5 in a two-quarter game.

Woods had four points and Adams and Mallory Heim had two. 

On Monday, the Wildcats swept through Crest.

The A-Team won 36-8.Granere had 18, Payton Scharff had 10, Kegler had four and Newman and Houk each had two.

The B-Team won 18-5.

Houk had six, Schmidt had four, Woods had three, Adams and Katie Bigelow had two and Drake had one.

The C-Team won an 18-6 two-quarter game.

Woods had six, Drake and Adams each had four and Nasha Gregory and Bigelow each had two.

The Wildcats will host Jayhawk-Linn today.
