HUMBOLDT — Humboldt High’s junior varsity volleyball team picked up a pair of wins Tuesday over visiting Yates Center, 25-10, 25-7, and Erie, 25-19, 25-19.
“The girls played extremely in well both matches,” said Humboldt JV coach Cara Thomas. “We have been trying some new things with our offense and the team used them and made them effective. I am so proud of the progress we have made throughout the season.”
Makaylah McCall had three kills and four aces in the win over Yates Center, while Megan Hudlin had four assists and five aces. Tilar Wells had seven aces, and Bri Ames had three aces. Bri Yokum and Kasey Beeman had one ace each.
Wells and Hudlin had three kills in the win over Erie, Beeman had two kills and three assists. Hudlin had six assists. Kira McReynolds had a kill and two aces. Hudlin had three aces, while Wells had two and Beeman one.
