EUREKA — Turnovers plagued Humboldt High’s girls Friday in a 49-18 loss to open their season against Eureka.
“We didn’t execute,” head coach Sherri Nelson said. “It was a rough start, but I am optimistic that we will turn it around.”
Sheri Middleton led the Lady Cubs with seven points, followed by Megan Hudlin with four.
Humboldt returns to action Tuesday to open its preseason tournament. The Lady Cubs will play Uniontown at about 7 p.m., depending on when the previous tournament game is completed.
