BURLINGTON — Humboldt High’s Lady Cubs took on top-seeded Burlington High’s Wildcats Tuesday in the opening round of the Kansas Class 3A Substate Basketball Tournament.
The Lady Cubs lost 82-15 to the Wildcats. The Wildcats were up 53-5 at halftime. Humboldt ended at 2-19.
Taylyn Wells hit two three-pointers to lead the Lady Cubs with six points. Whitney Strack had four points. Kindahl Young and Breanna Kline each scored two points. Sheri Middleton had one point.
