OSWEGO — Head coach Travis Hermreck’s analysis of Crest High’s contest Friday boiled down to two key points.
“We played very poorly,” the Lancer boys head coach said. “They did not.”
Oswego got the early jump and rolled to a 51-30 win in Three Rivers League play.
The loss drops the Lancers to 10-4 on the season and 4-1 in the TRL.
“It looked like we’d been off for two weeks,” Hermreck said, noting the recent spell of snowy weather that has wreaked havoc on Crest’s basketball schedule.
Oswego led 11-2 after one quarter and 24-6 at the break.
Crest’s offense improved after halftime but the Lancers could not cut into Oswego’s margin.
Kyle Hammond scored seven points to lead Crest.
Ryan Shields poured in 17 to lead Oswego.
Crest travels to Lebo tonight.
