The Crest Lancers posted their second consecutive win after throttling Chetopa (0-14, 0-6) 58-19 in Tuesday’s Pioneer League contest.

After ending the first half ahead 42-6, Crest coach Dakota Sporing opted for his bench as the Lancers earned their fourth win in five games while improving their overall record to 12-4 and 6-2 in Three Rivers League play.

Although a strong performance by Crest’s starters, the Lancers let the junior varsity do much of the heavy lifting Tuesday.

Sophomore guard Kole Walter had an early night with all his team-leading 13 points coming in the first half, which was also the case for senior forward Levi Prasko’s 12-point contribution.

After hitting six 3-pointers last Friday, junior guard Lane Yocham kept his hot streak alive with all his nine points coming from beyond the arc.

The Lancers returned to the hardwood for a non-league contest against Madison Thursday.

They host Southern Coffey County Friday, who remains winless with an 0-14 record and 0-8 in the TRL.

Tip-off for Friday’s game will be 20 minutes after the conclusion of the Lady Lancers’ 6 p.m. contest.
