OSWEGO — You’d be hard pressed to figure out which was more impressive Monday: Crest High’s pitching or hitting.

The Lancers took control on the baseball diamond at Oswego, rolling to wins of 21-1 and 19-4, to stay unbeaten on the season at 14-0.

A four-run first inning in the opener set the tone for the visitors. Not that they needed that.

Pitchers Stetson Setter and Jack White struck out nine batters over four innings. Setter, in fact, struck out all six batters he faced. White allowed two hits over two innings and no earned runs.

Meanwhile, Crest plated six in the second and 10 in the fourth to complete the contest.

Holden Barker paced the offense with a triple and home run, while driving in four and scoring four runs.

Setter had three singles, three runs and three RBIs. Kaden Nilges had two singles and three RBIs. Jacob Zimmerman drove in two with a single.

White singled twice and scored two runs, while Ryan Golden, Trevor Church and Avery Blaufuss added singles.

The Lancers also took full advantage of six Oswego errors and 10 walks.

Crest wasn’t much interested in dawdling in the finale. The Lancers scored nine in the first and eight in the second to take control.

Tucker Yocham got the start on the mound. He allowed three hits and one earned run over two innings. He struck out one. Rogan Weir pitched a hitless inning of relief with a strikeout.

Church led the offensive explosion, by tripling twice and singling, while driving in two and scoring three runs. Setter added a triple and two RBIs.

Golden, White and Barker each singled twice with two RBIs. Nilges also had two singles. Blaufuss chipped in with a single.

The Lancers will visit Yates Center Thursday.
