The Crest Lancers came up a bit short last Friday as their losing streak extended to five games following a 34-28 loss to Centre.
With only four teams in their district, the Lancers (1-5) receive a berth in the upcoming playoffs, but their final two games, against Marmaton Valley (5-1) Friday and Waverly (2-4) Oct. 24, will determine where they land in the tournament seeding.
