Marmaton Valley falls to Uniontown

With another game just around the corner, the Marmaton Valley Wildcats will not have long to think about Monday's loss.

MORAN — Marmaton Valley Junior High’s basketball teams came up short at home against rival Uniontown Monday.

In girls action, the Eagles defeated MV, 49-8, in A team play and 23-6 in the B team contest.

On the boys side, Marmaton Valley dropped a 40-19 decision to Uniontown in A team action, a 27-9 loss in B team play and 4-2 setback in a two-quarter C team game. Leading the way for Marmaton Valley’s A team were Daniel Allee and Zayne Endicott with five points each, Anthony Sander with four, Jaren Curl with three and Kaiden Woods with two.

Endicott, Ryler Stone, Oscar Boom and Lucas Sander each scored two in the Wildcats’ B team contest. Doug Dix added a free throw.

Sander had Marmaton Valley’s C team field goal.

IN GIRLS play, Layten Blevins scored all eight of Marmaton Valley’s A team points. Kloie Snavely and Kimbree Daum each had two points and Blevins and Zoey Endicott scored one each in the B team matchup.

Marmaton Valley travels to Southern Coffey County Thursday.
