ARMA — The Brooks sisters of Marmaton Valley Junior High have quite a sibling rivalry going this track season.
Shayla Brooks took home a pair of golds and two second-place finishes at a meet hosted by Northeast Middle School Monday.
Makayla Brooks did her one better — or two better, to be exact.
Makayla Brooks took home four golds at the meet, including winning the two events in which her sister took second.
Meanwhile, classmate Shelby Yoho nabbed three gold medals for the Wildcat seventh-graders, who easily won the team title.
“We got points from every girl in every event they participated in,” Marmaton Valley coach Scott Brady said. “It was an incredible job.”
The eighth-grade girls finished third in their division, falling 10 points shy of winning, Brady said.
Kyla Drake took home one gold and three silvers. Casey Allen added two silvers and a bronze.
