Allen County hosted Garden City on Saturday and both the men and women fell to the Broncbusters.
The Allen County women fell 64-43.
The Lady Devils only lost by eight when they met up in western Kansas earlier this season but offensive struggles kept Allen County from keeping this one close.
Garden City jumped out to a 21-10 lead after the first quarter and pushed that 11-point lead to 13 by the half. The Lady Busters really opened it up with a 16-5 third quarter. The Lady Devils outscored Garden City 17-14 to end the game but didn’t come close to making a dent in the deficit.
No Lady Devil scored in double-digits but sophomore Kamri Summons, sophomore Alecia Verge and freshman Jakira Wilson each scored eight points in the loss.
With the loss, Allen County falls to 6-15 and 4-13 in Jayhawk Conference play.
The men followed that up with an 80-68 loss.
The loss marked the fifth in a row for Allen County.
The Red Devils led 38-34 at the half but a 46-30 second half gave the Busters the win.
Sophomore Tyler Williams had 22 points in the loss followed by 12 for sophomore Tevin Townsend.
Williams had cemented himself as one of the top scorers in the Jayhawk Conference averaging 14.7 points per game which is ninth-best. Williams has scored 21 or more in Allen County’s last three games.
Allen County falls to 6-15 and 4-13 in league play.
They will travel to El Dorado on Wednesday before returning home on Saturday to face Barton.
