Red Devils receive  conference awards

After finishing near the top of the Jayhawk Conference standings, conference officials recognized multiple Allen Community College basketball players.

Three Lady Red Devils including sophomore guard Juana Rojas, sophomore center Yolaine Luthi, and freshman guard Jennyfer Gros have been named to the 2025–26 All-KJCCC Division II Women’s Basketball Postseason Teams and Awards following the KJCCC DII Conference Tournament.

Rojas earned two postseason honors, being named KJCCC Defensive Player of the Year while also receiving Third-Team All-KJCCC recognition. The sophomore played a key role in helping the Red Devils secure a second-place finish in the KJCCC Division II women’s basketball regular-season standings.

Rojas recorded 33 steals and three blocks this season, helping Allen hold opponents to 56.8 points per game while limiting conference opponents to 37.7% shooting from the field. She also averaged 25.7 minutes per game, the highest average among Red Devils players.

Luthi earned First-Team All-KJCCC honors after appearing in 24 games, making 20 starts for Allen. The center recorded 94 field goals this season while shooting 34.9% from the floor and 50% from beyond the arc.

Luthi was also a defensive presence for the Red Devils, totaling 144 rebounds, including 71 offensive and 73 defensive rebounds. She averaged six rebounds per game, while adding 25 steals and four blocks.

The third Red Devil to receive postseason recognition was Gros, who started all 27 games this season. The freshman guard recorded 84 field goals and 22 three-pointers, totaling 201 points.

Gros also contributed 79 rebounds, 54 assists, and 46 steals during her first season with the Red Devils.
