Red Devils split, clinch playoff berth

The Allen Community College baseball team bounced back from a game one 9-5 loss to Kansas City, Kan., Community College Saturday and won game two, 6-3.

Reigning conference player of the week Torrence Sumerlin mad his presence known by going 3-for-5 with three RBIs.

Torey Jordan and Gunar Drinnen each had two hits.

Chase Gooding pitched seven innings and only allowed two earned runs. He had seven strike outs. The win clinches a Region VI playoff berth for the Red Devils.

Roberto Enriquez had a double and triple in the 9-5 game one loss. 

 

Jordan Musser allowed three runs in just one inning.
