MIDWEST CITY, Okla. — The Red Devils seemed like they were in good shape when freshman Sierra Thompson blasted a home run to break a scoreless tie and give Allen a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth in game one at Rose State College.
But as quickly as it looked good, it took a turn for the worse.
Allen starter Raegen Beckley surrendered four runs in the bottom of the fourth before being pulled with only one out. Reliever Dela Boyd didn’t fare any better and gave up six runs while recording only four outs. Rose State run-ruled Allen 10-2 in the fifth inning.
Game two was no better with the Red Devils being run-ruled 8-0 in the fifth.
Allen is now 8-13 this season.
