Rescheduled hunter education course set

CHANUTE — A hunter education class sponsored by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks — postponed from March 20 because of wintry weather — will be Friday and Saturday at the KDWP office in Chanute.
Class sessions run from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Students must at-tend both sessions and must pre-register by calling (620) 431-0380. Students must be 11 or older to attend.
The KDWP office is at 1500 W. Seventh St. in Chanute. The scene shifts to Elks Lake north of Chanute Saturday afternoon. Students must arrange for their own transportation to and from the lake.
