The Humboldt Cubs’ season came to a sudden end following a 48-0 loss to Sabetha in the opening round of the Kansas High School Activities Association playoffs.
The Cubs returned from their nearly 5-hour round trip empty handed as they conclude the year with a 3-6 overall record.
After graduating nearly their entire starting offense and defense last season, 2025 served as a rare rebuild for the perennial powerhouse program. The Cubs will graduate six next spring and enter 2026 with 15 upperclassmen on the roster.
