Basketball season came to an end in LeRoy Tuesday as the Southern Coffey County boys and girls basketball teams fell in the opening round of the substate tournament.
The SCC girls fell to Three Rivers League rival Altoona-Midway 38-18. Sophomore guard Alexis Riedinger had a team-leading eight points, followed by freshman guard Brooke Marlow with six, then freshman guard Lilian Raker and junior forward Layla Decker with a bucket each.
With the loss, SCC ended 2025-2026 with a 1-22 record.
The SCC boys fell to the Peabody-Burns Warriors 66-39.
No statistics from the contest were available at press time. With the loss, the Titans end the season 2-19.
