The Southern Coffey County Titans continue making progress while in search of their first win, but a slow start doomed them by halftime in Monday’s 49-17 loss to Central Heights.
With just a bucket in the first quarter, the Titans could not keep up with the Central Heights Lady Vikings, who posted a 30-6 lead by halftime and continued pouring on the points from there.
Titans senior Hailey Honn, freshman Madalynn Garretson and freshman Brooke Marlow tied for the team lead in scoring with 4 points each, followed by freshman Lilian Raker with 3 points and junior Layla Decker with a bucket in the losing effort.
With the loss, SCC falls to 0-9. They hosted 5-3 Uniontown Tuesday, but the final score was not available at press time.
