Softball squads thrive at benefit

South East Kansas was well represented over the weekend weekend in the Fifth Annual Kansas Explosion II Cancer Benefit in Paola, earning championships in both the 18- and 12-and-under divisions. tournament Champions.
The past five years the Explosion II softball organization out of Paola has held a cancer benefit for a former soft ball player. All of the proceeds go to the former player.
In the 12-and-under picture is Teressa Morris-Ruggles,  this year’s recipient of the benefit.
Morris-Ruggles is a former Neosho County Community College student living in Paola.
