Strickler wins in Madison

MADISON — Sophomore Camryn Strickler picked up Crest’s only individual championship in Friday’s Madison Invitational by winning the 300-meter hurdles with a 53.29.
Jewel Armstrong took fifth in the same event with a 58.97.
Strickler also placed third in the 100-meter high hurdles.
The Lancers had a pair of girls place in the high jump with Katie Brewer jumping 4’2” and finishing third and Cassie Bowen also clearing 4’2” and ending up in sixth.
Senior Laurel Godderz rounded out the Lancers’ scoring on the girls’ side with a fifth-place finish in the javelin with a 103’3”.

BOYS
Lancer freshman Billy Lyda  picked up a pair of second-place sprinting finishes on Friday.
Lyda ran the 100-meter dash in 11.29 and the 200-meter dash in 23.21.
Junior Caleb Stephens was the runner-up in the high jump with a 5’8”.

UP NEXT
The Lancers will head to Humboldt on Thursday with events starting at 3 p.m.
